Challenger, M37, Accord

2010 Dodge Challenger. I corrected the finish on their BMW 335 in March, in June both cars got hammered by grapefruit sized hail. This was before the hail got really big, it busted out all the glass in the 335, not sure about the Challenger. Anyway both were horribly damaged, both in excess of $10,000!

Both cars were repainted, the 335 has a lot of issues, might end up needing another repaint. The Challenger came out a lot better, might be because they knew how unhappy the owners were about the 335. Main problem with the paint was light buffer holograms and spider swirling. Secondary problem is the paint seems to be really soft. The goal was to get the paint back to where it should be without going too nuts. If the paint`s softness continues to be an issue, a full correction would be quickly undone. If it is still susceptible to swirling and marring while washing, probably end up correcting it fully and applying Opti-Coat.

ONR wash, Optimum nano-skin to clay (test product)

Optimum Hyper Polish using an Optimum microfiber cutting pad and my PC 7424 XP-speeds 5-6, some areas were polished twice

Collinite 476 Paste Wax

ONR wash and wax at 32:1 to clean glass

Armor All on tires/fenderwells



Yes, that much improvement was with one polishing step. The paint is way softer than Dodge`s OEM metallic black. I went with Collinite since it is a heavy paste wax (and it looks terrific) so there would be as much physical barrier between the paint and towels when washing. The owners will be using ONR v3 to keep it clean, no more car washes!

2011 Infiniti M37. Regular customer, wash it every two weeks. Time for wax again-actually, time for polishing but the owner wants to wait until winter weather and the chance of sanding the streets are over. I decided to use the new wax I got from Clearkote, Magic Moose Wax. Since I see this car regularly it will be easy to monitor how well it protects and how the look holds up. I don`t think it darkens paint as much as Carnauba Moose but it does have excellent depth and wetness.

My 2004 Accord. Snow on Christmas Day, first rain after that splashed the sand laid down after the snow all over my car, second round of rain, had to drive down a road with a lot of housing construction. Just nasty. But a good test to see of ONR Wash and Wax cleans as well as regular ONR.



Pretty dirty if its noticeable on the color of my car!

Hard to watch that video Scott! Went through the same thing in `06 with the wife`s Accord and softball size hail, not a pleasant experience! Learned allot about insurance on that deal, anyway,Nice turnaround! Improper blending of clearcoat is the likely cause of super soft resprays! I`d Opti-Coat it and be done with it. I`m going to have to try some Magic, I like what I`m seeing!
