Trying to catch up, been pretty busy lately, decent weather for November!

2012 Ford Mustang 5.0. Owner had a scratch in the paint (which sadly, turned out to be too deep to remove) and decided to have the exterior detailed and protected for winter as well. He usually does it himself but does everything by hand. He wanted to see what kind of results you can get with a PC (and I guess how to use one) as he is thinking of purchasing one.

The paint could use a full correction (not anything extreme, probably 1 good compounding step would clean it up nicely) but the basic rule of thumb is protection in the winter, correction in the spring.

2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2006 Infiniti M45

I got some Rhino Gloss to try from Adrianna at Rhino, figured I could do some durability testing on the following two cars. I see them every 2-3 months, don`t think they get washed too often. No polishing, the company pays for the work, all they will pay for is a wash, vacuum and wax. I will probably be out early next year to wash and wax them again. They definitely looked really good, Rhino Gloss looks similar to Opti-Seal.

2003 Lexus LS430. Owner has a new Jeep Wrangler on the way, and is trading in the Lexus. Wanted it cleaned up enough to impress, but obviously not going to go all out on it.

2007 Mercedes E350. Owner has been driving a late 90s Acura CL for as long as I can remember. He works next door to a regular (and frequent) customer of mine. Last time I was at the other office, he came over, said he replaced the CL with something a bit nicer and wanted it detailed. A bit nicer indeed!

2007 BMW 328 and 2009 Volvo S40. I used Opti-Guard on the 328 back in late summer 2009. Owner is pleased with how it has held up (his Dad owns the Fisker I Opti-Coated this summer), just wanted the car freshened up a bit and the exterior of his wife`s car detailed. The 328 still looked really good (sun was already mostly behind the parking garage when we got there but what little I could see with the sun on it was pretty much swirl free-owner washes with ONR) so no need to polish. Just added some Opti-Seal for a bit more pop.

Amazing work sir, as always. I currently use 3D Universal protectant for dressing, thinking of switching to Optimum Protectant Plus, just seems like a great product.

1965 Corvette. Just a wax this time. Owner says the paint is mostly original and is kind of afraid of putting a buffer to 47 year old paint.

I haven`t used the 3D product so I don`t know how they compare but I am happy with OPP.

Today, not so much. Mid to upper 40s the whole time we were working on the Tesla and right now its pretty cold outside. Rest of the week though, wow. 60s tomorrow, mostly 70s to near 80 through Monday. :)
