2012 Tesla Model S. Very impressive build quality, excellent paint. Just some minor scratching where a bird bomb was removed. Other than that the paint was defect free. Couldn`t find any buffer or spider swirls with my halogen.

ONR wash, Optimum nano-skin to clay

Optimum Hyper Polish using an Optimum microfiber cutting pad and my PC 7424 XP

ONR wash

Opti-Coat 2.0 on the paint and wheels

Armor All on tires/fenderwells

Other than a vacuum and wipe down, nothing done inside, just thought y`all would like to see it. Huge tablet uses google maps and android operating system.

2012 Dodge Charger R/T. Owner replaced a mid 90s Civic with this. Wanted something with a little more guts. Okay, a lot more! Excellent shape overall, hood (like the Golf) needed a bit more work.

2012 Subaru Imprezza STi. With the infamous sticky paint. :wall:

Almost everything I tried, Optimum Hyper Polish, 3D HD Polish, Meguiars #105 basically welded itself to the paint and wouldn`t wipe off. The only thing that would work was Meguiars #205 and even that was tough to wipe off. I`ve dealt with this on Honda`s Nighthawk Pearl but even that paint wasn`t as bad as this. Even going over the whole car with Optimum Power Clean (diluted 3:1) thinking maybe something was on the paint didn`t help.

ONR wash, Optimum nano-skin to clay

Meguiars #105 using a Meguiars microfiber cutting disc and my PC to remove some buffer swirls on the back of the trunk lid (rest was swirl free)

Meguiars #205 using a Meguiars yellow foam polishing pad and my PC

Optimum Power Clean at 3:1 to help get #205 off the paint

ONR wash

Opti-Coat 2.0

Armor All on tires/fenderwells

Hopefully OC 2.0 makes the owner`s life a lot easier, I can see how this paint can be a huge nightmare to deal with if it wasn`t coated. The owner noted right away how much more the metallic popped after polishing and Opti-Coat.

Nice reviews as always Scott!

I think I might have the same kind of problem with my 2012 WRX Limited (in black).

Everything look to stick to the paint, it`s crazy!

Also, I did a little `buffing test` just for fun (no use to correct the paint since winter season is there) and wow, that paint is soft ... I did a pass with P085RD + white pad and it removed a lot of swirls.

What do you think?

Any advice about how to attack the buffing process?

What do I think? Honestly? Never, ever buy a Subaru again. I`d refuse to live with that nightmare paint and I`d raise hell with anyone at Subaru who will listen at how horrible their paint is. I don`t have any answer how best to deal with it. I really don`t. #205 is the only thing that would work and even that was a huge PITA. :hairpull:

Great work, as always.

P.S. Did you mean to say Opti-Clean 2.0 on the third detail description? :)

Scott, been awhile since you`ve been posting now I see why! That Subaru turned out nice even though it was a PITA!

Subaru paint is a nightmare! It`s garbage and so thin. My whole family swears by them but always complain about how quickly/easily the paint chips and how fast the paint dulls. Even the first time I waxed my parents new impreza back in April after having it just two weeks, it took me twice as long as on their other cars.
