Hello.

I just bought a car that is wrapped in black matte. The car had some vynil letters on top of the wrap, which are still noticeable after removing and washing. I don`t know if the rest of the wrap has been sunburned, making the letters noticeable on the wrap after removing, or if there is a way to make them unnoticeable.

Also, someone tagged on the car with what seems to be a stencil by the looks of it. It is noticeable depending on the angle the light hits the car, I`d also like to know if it is possible to remove the stencil marks.

I`d like to get this done without having to remove the wrap and apply new one.

I leave you here some photos of the marks on the wrap from the stencyl, and from the vynil letter marks:

How long have the stencil stickers been removed? Sometimes the film will heal itself over time by sitting in the sun. If not, I would try the Swissvax pre wax cleaner and see what it does for you. Otherwise just remove and replace.

Hey John,

I have no idea, I bought the car like this about a week ago, the only thing I did was remove the vynil letters on the last pictures.

The stencyl tags, I have no idea how long they have been there...

What John said. Beauty of vinyl is that, worst case scenario, you can just replace the film on the messed up panel.

I would try the 3D polish with a polishing pad, should remove the "ghosting" on the main vinyl.

But wouldn`t polishing make the matte glossy?

It will for a while, not a real high gloss unless you get carried away.

After polishing, a few weeks of exposure to UV rays will dull it down a bit.

At least it will be "more" even than present.
