I have a 1960 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud and a Daimler Benz limousine coming in from a local limo company. I was wondering what the best wood polishes were for interiors. And would Opti-Coat be fine on those old single stage paints (if original I wouldn`t see why not though).

I believe OC was designed for clear-coats primarily. Not that it will fall off the paint on other paint types, but may not be as durable as on CC.

They applied a true lacquer finish to the interior wood back then, vs use of urethanes today.

And furniture wax would be fine, after all, you should be working with the lacquer finish, not the wood it`s self.

Which IME is usually kinda soft and/or fragile, so don`t go nuts trying to polish out scratches.

The wood was one of their major concerns I will inform them that not all defect will be removed.

Menzerna polishes work great on wood. They actually use them to polish out pianos. Not sure about using OC, but I doubt it will cause any problems as long as you don`t need to remove it. I know with certainty it is fine to be used on single stage finishes, glass, plastic, chrome and bare alluminum.
