My oldest daughters 2007 Milan Premier Saturday.

Almost 90k on it. Mint green/silver. Cleans up very nicely... It`s a nice color actually...

The paint held up well over winter, this was just a general clean up and wax, not really trying to correct anything.

I decided to revisit some of my older detailing products (and use them up) and I went to town Saturday.

Temps high 80s, sunny, and humid in my area.

Decided to go with Duragloss. I like this stuff, pleasure to work with, cheap, and good quality...

Process:

Cleaned up the bugs, tar, wheels first.

Cleaned the grill/front with Duragloss Bug Remover, let soak, and then rinsed. Used a bug sponge during the actual washing.

Zep Citrix Degreaser in a 4-1 ratio to clean tires/rims/wheel wells, Let it dwell for only a few minutes and rinsed since it was hot/humid.

Didn`t want the Zep or Bug Remover to bake in. Washed the rims/tires with Megs Gold Class and rinsed.

To eliminate wasting time, I cleaned/waxed the rims with DG501 and dressed the tires while I let the sealant in DG501 cure some on the paint before applying the topper....(About an hour?)

I have to say 501 cleaned the rims nicely and brightened the finish. Removed some tar and road film. Tires got Armor All Gel. Nice stuff and it looks better after it dries and lasts a long time. Very little sling.

Paint

The car hadn`t had anything done to it since fall of last year (Collinite 476 for protection back then) and it was pretty much gone as I washed with Megs Gold Class Wash/two bucket method.

No water beading at all. Paint was somewhat gritty and a few rust blooms. Not as bad as the previous spring clean up.

The paint was cleaned/light polish with Duragloss 501 AIO via the PCXP with a green polish pad at speed 5, one panel at a time and them removed.

The DG501 AIO cleaned up the paint nicely and left a smooth, super slick surface, and the flake in the paint was poppin !!

The green pad was fairly dirty afterwards.

I went with the DG601/111 combo for a sealant. I wanted to keep compatible products together on this clean up and knew they would work great together. and I wanted to try the 601/111 combo (yah I was playing a little at this point for my enjoyment)

So to save a little time which I learned from the forum I mixed both together in a small 4 ounce bottle in a 4-1 ratio and did it in one step !!

Applied to the entire car and let it sit for 10-15 minutes as I worked on the interior.

The inside plastic got a APC wipe down (Purple Power 10-1 ratio).

Plastic dressed (Megs Natural Shine Protectant) I like this OTC stuff, nice mat finish.

The Glass was cleaned with Stoners IG, carpet vacuumed, and the leather cleaned/conditioned with OTC (Gold Class Leather Spray Cleaner).

First time using this product and it worked nice and left a mat finish, but the nozzle wasn`t very good.

All the door jams were cleaned with HDFree.

After everything was done I did a once over with Duragloss AquaWax Spray Sealant to remove any dust/finger prints/smudges from the paint and snapped these pics out in the sun. AW gave it that little extra POP I think !!!

I spent about 5-6 hours total on this one...

I would say the DG combo gave a more clear sealant like finish, not as dripping wet as POXY FWIW doing a comparison.

Thank you for looking...

Nice job, cleaned up nice! :)

Customer of mine has the same car, same color. Seems to resist swirling pretty well.
