Hey guys. I had opti-coated my car a while back and i`ve been very happy with the protection. The problem is that my water here is town water and is the WORST possible water one could have. If I wash and try to dry the car, before I can get over the whole car it`s left spots. Especially on the glass.

Anyway, my question is, because of this... once in a while I need to clean the paint. If I use my DA polisher (Flex on a lower setting with a white pad and Klasse AIO) how much is it going to cut into the OC?

If anyone has a better idea please feel free to let me know.

You should be fine with KAIO. Optimum says you can use Poliseal, which is more abrasive than KAIO. You may want to think about using ONR, panel by panel to avoid the issue altogether.

Thanks for the advice all... yes I have been looking into the ONR for quite some time... I just had bought a whole gallon of Adam`s car wash and was considering buying a water softener set-up for the whole house. It spots the dishes, the bathtubs, the clothes are ok, but I think they would be softer with better water. Most importantly, my Wife and our dogs... although she and I use a brita filter, but with 6 dogs the filters over time get pretty expensive to continiously replace.
