I wanted to pass on the official news of the soon to be released HD Dual Action polisher. Besides this being just another state of the art machine to try, Tunch, the owner of 3D/HD, wanted to market this as a complete paint polishing kit. This is hands down the nicest, most complete and easiest system to soon be on the market that will allow ANYONE to get real world dramatic paint correction results on their vehicle. By this, I mean it gives everything needed to polish and seal your vehicle in the most simplest way possible. The kit comes with the latest and greatest DA polisher w/5 Inch backing plate, HD SPEED AIO polish/sealant, Cutting, Polishing and Finishing foam pads, 2 high quality microfiber towels and state of the art heavy duty machine carrying case that has plenty of room for everything in the kit. Price is to be announced, but should and will have an effective price point that Costco, Sam’s Club & Walmart have already shown great interest in carrying.

Here are the specs on the HD Dual Action Polisher:

2500-6800 OPM

710 Watt Motor

5/16 inch stroke

Soft Start – (ensures safer machine start ups)

Easy adjustable speed dial with 6 speeds

On/Off switch located on side for easier access

Ergonomic front hand mount produces better machine balance

Here are some pictures of the Polisher Kit:

I believe Ben from HD said the polisher is similar to the Flex in that it will be forced rotation but will be much cheaper. OK, that did not help much.

The pictures posted look like the typical floating spindle assembly found on PC, Griots and Megs.

This machine is not a forced rotation.

The motor is actually quite powerful. Here I was trying to bogg it down (a pre-production unit actually) while removing 2400 grit scratches from Tunch`s 612 Scaglietti and couldn`t. :waxing:

I`m a regular over at walmart`s auto dept. I hope they carry it, and will keep my eyes peeled for it.

Is the speed dial on the bottom of this one? And will it be sold outside of the kit?

Keep in mind that I`ve only used/seen the beta model. I believe it will be located on the rear upper section. The machine at it`s initial sale will only be offered in kit form. But, once you see the price point you`ll hopefully understand that it`s still a bargin (3D style). For about the price of a big named brand and backing plate, you`ll basically be getting the same, but with a heavy duty carrying case, 2 towels, 3 pads and SPEED.

Looks promising, if it`s better than Griot`s and has a 25` cord, and same warranty, I`ll jump on one or two of these.

Any ballpark figures about how much it`s going to sell for?
