I`m new to the world of detailing, i would love to give it a try myself rather than pay someone else around the city to do it.

After Countless hours, of sitting on forums, and asking countless members on here and other forums. I think im ready to throw in my Order.

I just have a few more things to add to it, such as the type of pads i should get.

Looking to Purchase this all within the next week or so, the nice weather is drawing closer and closer!

Let me know if the products im getting is ones i should be getting for a beginner, suggest alternatives if possible.

Keep in Mind, i wont be able to get things such as a foam gun, stict laws in Calgary, ONR is my only solution for the time being!

Looks like a great start. I would buy 105 or Powergloss, not both. The Power Finish is also a fine polish, but you still need a finishing polish. I would substitute the Power Finish for Super Intensive, and also pick up a bottle of Super Finish 4500. The Menz system is excellent, so why not just keep it all Menzerna, and drop the 105. Power Lock is also much less than impressive, if you want durability I would look into Nanoskin Hydrophobic and SHIELD, 3D Nitro, or Opti Coat. With these I would pick up a foamed purple wool pad, orange Lake Country and White Lake Country. Besides that I think you have some great stuff coming, and with the right products, and some proper guidance from autopians I`m sure you will be in really good shape.

K3RMiTdot- Welcome to Autopia!

I`ll jus say that IMO >90% of this stuff is just learning how to wash/dry without marring the paint, and that`s very challenging. I myself can`t do it with ONR, but maybe you`ll be one of the people here who do OK with that approach.

Ill dump the 105.

What do you mean by super intensive??

Ill dump the power lock in favour of the opit-coat. Whats some advice for using this? small portions? pea size?

I dont trust myself with a wool pad. Do you guys jsut recommend me pick up b&s pads? which one goes with which product??

Thanks alot

Welcome from another Cowtowner!

I`m seriously considering getting a foam gun despite the obvious risks. They look like so much fun!

Obvious risks  You lost me there, could you explain your concerns?

Seriously, I simply can`t wash marring-free without mine.

We have laws in calgary where soap is not allowed when washing cars, it drains into the city`s river also our drinking water.
