“Two step paint correction process”

From time to time, I get to work on some paints that are just a pure joy to perform correction work on…this car was one of them! Porsche black, Ferrari Nero Daytona black, and BMW sapphire black are my top three favorite color cars to work on. Yes, I love black cars!!!

Process was a thorough washing to remove any previous paint protection followed by a paint surface prep with the speedy prep towel (new tool that replaces claying for me when doing correction work – faster and just as good, while being MUCH easier on the hands). Then came the correction end of things…Meguiars D300 on an orange pad, followed by Menzerna 106 on a black pad. This paint was pretty soft, yet didn’t scratch with a towel when removing the polish and/or wax, so that was a good thing!

Products used on this car were:

Meguiars D300, hyper dressing @ 2:1, degreaser, last touch, glass cleaner

Menzerna 106, powerlock sealant

Speedy surface prep towel from nanoskin

Chemical guys citrus wash and clear

I love the towel...so much easier than claying, and no hand fatigue/pain!

OOOOooooo!! I know that color!! (Add excited tone!) That`s Java Black Pearl from a 2004 Subaru. 2004 was the only year they had Java Black Pearl. Awesome color! It`s the gold flake that makes the paint really awesome compared to other years!

I don`t know if you`ll get a chance or not, but if I think JBP looks amazing with some night shots!

Looks great!

Love Subbie paint too, almost any issue can be solved with two polishing steps.
