Hello,

Several years ago I remember a product was available to spray over paint, and once dried it would form a clear plastic film protection. The resulting film was also removable, I think it could be peeled off.

I know there are several pre-cut solutions that work with an adhesive, but this product sounded very interesting. I can`t seem to find it now, does anyone know about such products and where i might find them? Thanks

body shops use it often. What you are referring could be slime...? It is there to replace masking sort of. Such as overspray.

I also think u might have to different products confused. The one i mentioned is only water soluble, thus rinsing with water-it will come completley off.

Yes, I may have looked at something years ago and it could have been a different purpose.

What I`m thinking about is this:

3M Automotive, Marine & Aerospace : 3M (http://products3.3m.com/catalog/ca/en001/auto_marine_aero/-/node_GSHQY0KSK3be/root_VJ3G0N3T7Ngv/vroot_G75KJBMR4Kge/gvel_KB3M6F73BSgl/theme_ca_en_automarineaero_3_0/command_AbcPageHandler/output_html)

But, rather than being a pre-cut adhesive, it would be sprayed on and dry to the same sort of thing.

Maybe such a product doesn`t exist

:gossip: I dunno if I can tell you about what I have been testing or not...I know I can say if spray properly it adds amazing protection, and can be removed in a sheet without residue left on the surface....Once I find out if I can discuss it for real or not we will talk :D

Right side has been sprayed.

I`ve had to remove one of the roll on films from the crevices where it didn`t peel off all that easy. It took steam and a lot of patience.
