Despite searching and finidng various results, I started this thread to try and get the most opinions in location.

I would really like to start a poll, but didn`t see the option when starting this thread.

I have tried countless tire dressings and always find I can`t settle on one.

What is your go to tire dressing?

Thanks,

Jeff

I don`t like shiney tires, just a new rubber sheen, so my vote goes to Optimum Opti-Bond Tire Gel.

I`ve used quite a few and I just keep going back to good ole Armour All. Jet black tires with zero sheen.

I prefer a satin-sheen, the wet look is not my style. With that said I like the appearance of Opti-Bond & Zaino Z16.

mothers fx tire shine works well, one bottle goes a long way and it`s reasonably priced...

Mothers FX for me as well. Awesome value and it looks like black licorice.

I did read the thread posted on Mothers FX Tire Shine and I am probably going to place an order tonight.

How is the durability?

+3 for Mother`s FX. It adds a little bit more sheen than other water-based dressings, though the sheen does disappear fairly quickly and become a deep, rich black. And it`s a great value.

I`m also a fan of Surf City Garage`s Beyond Black.

One of the most fun things about detailing is the never ending tire shine trial. Z-16 was king for me, and I still have some on hand as default, but since summer I`ve been using CarPro PERL ( 1:1) and have liked the looks and longevity. It does seem like an economical choice as well.

Before my next application I have do a deep cleaning of my tires though, to avoid messy dressing accumulation.

Used to be Z16 for me. I`m about to try DG 253.

OptiBond 1:1

In the past year, my 2 go to dressings where Optibond 1:1 in a spray bottle, and Meguiars Hyperdressing at 1:1 or 3:1. What OB didn`t work well on, HD did, so I alway had 2 solid options that looked great and were easy to use.

I`m still (contentedly) using up my case of Z16.

Those of you who switched from Z16 to something else, why`d you change and what do you prefer about the new product?

looks like alot of people still like Zaino Z-16. Me too. Nice amount of shine w/o any sling.

Depending on the look I am going for I have a few:

Hyper dressing 1:1 for standard customer details. Decent longetivity and pretty shiny

Mothers FX not as shiny and used on my own cars. Deep, rich black and easy to apply.

Blackfire Tire Shine for customers who want bling bling.

Hyper dressing 4:1 for matte finish customer cars.

DP tire gel for semi matte finish and just using up my supply.
