Here is the original thread: http://www.autopia.org/forum/click-brag/139648-latest-details-v-az-style-teaser-thread.html
Started off with a 2009 Pontiac G8 that I have detailed before plus their new 2010 Saab 9.5. New because it sat on a lot for two years before they purchased it. Really nice car, large interior, quiet, decent power. Shame that Saab is probably done.
The owner has done a superb job taking care of the G8 since I did a pretty stout correction on it during my first Arizona trip in February 2010. The 9.5 on the other hand, two years on a lot left it moderately swirled.
G8:
ONR wash, Opti-Raser to smooth the paint
Optimum Hyper Polish with an Optimum microfiber polishing pad and my PC 7424 XP
Clearkote`s Carnauba Moose Wax
Armor All on tires (fenderwells not dressed on either vehicle at owner`s request)
Really didn`t go too nuts trying to get everything out of the seams in the clear bra, part of the reason for the polishing was that the front end will get a new clear bra that will completely cover the hood and front fenders.

2007 Acura TL Type S. Owner wanted it coated with Opti-Coat. Overall it was in excellent condition (he is a member of autopia) but there were some water spots and spider swirling. Arizona water is pretty hard, even the rain water is hard!

2007 Cadillac Escalade. Originally owned by the people with the G8 and 9.5, the current owner was so impressed with the condition of it he asked how they managed to do it. They gave him my name and gave me his contact information.
Just a few pictures, the driveway was very short as was time to get to our next appointment.

2004 BMW M3 and a 2007 Ford Mustang Roush 427. The M3 was a recent purchase and it was in decent shape. The Mustang wasn`t too bad either, but it did have the typical Arizona water spots. He also wanted his race car done (also a Mustang) but he had been on a trip, just got back and had scheduled dyno time for the car which took all day. Little short on pictures, we finished around 5 pm, had to get back to our host`s house, clean up, pack and head down to Tucson. Didn`t want to get there too late, we were staying at my brother`s in-laws in Marana and they have young kids we didn`t want to wake by getting there late. Well that and I didn`t realize I only took 3 pictures of the outside of the Mustang!

2007 Fast 5 AC Cobra replica. I have no doubt the owner could afford a real one, but he wanted a Cobra he could actually drive. :up
It really needs a full correction but it is regularly driven and he just wanted it cleaned up and protected for now. Maybe when we go back in October?
Engine was sprayed down with ONR at QD strength and then wiped down, really wasn`t very dirty.

The Saab does belong to TriShield. He has another one, a 9.3 wagon on the way. Just didn`t get there in time for me to take care of.

Incredible work. I have to admit - I am FAR from a Ford guy but that Boss 302 is just awesome.
Scott, I have been on the forums here since 2004 and have read TONS of your posts since then. I truly do admire the fact that you are able to achieve flawless results, time and time again, with just a few simple detailing products. In my opinion you`re a perfect example of "keeping things simple" - which can be very tough in this field given the enormous array of detailing products that are out there. Lots of newbies come to these forums for advice (as I did back in `04) and can be just blown away by the folks that use 72 different products on one detail job or by those that continue to use the latest "flavor of the month" switching products on each and every detail. You`re a good role model for guys that simply want to have the nicest driver on the street as well as those that aspire to do this for a living.
If I can you use one your past quotes: "Stop making detailing hard and complicated, it really isn`t."
Amen to that.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I tried early on when I got here doing the flavor of the month stuff, topping, etc and it just made detailing less fun. Like Mike Phillips is fond of saying "find something you like and use it often" and detailing is simpler, more fun and leaves you time to enjoy the fruits of your labor. :)

Nice work Scott! Looks like a good trip, nice weather! Not much of a Ford fan but that 302 is sick red!! I really liking the Optimum MF pads! On a Flex the power is incredible!! Just finished Lambo(rock hard) paint, thought for sure it was going to be a 3 stepper but MF compounding pounding pad and M101 knocked down 85% of the defects! And the best part was no dusting! Finished with GPS and finishing pad. Another good product.
