Sorry for the additional post, but I am a bit confused about fk 215 and 2180. Which is the preferred one to use under 1000p? What are the TRUE differences between them? What are you experiences/preferences? The car will be completely polished before either 2180 or 215 and then 1000p applied.

Also, any suggested wait time before applying 1000p over either one?

Thanks,

Brett

fk 215 is a aio product. fk 2180 is a sealant. they are not the same. i would do 215 then 1000p and skip the 2180.

2180 won`t last if you just slap on 1-2 layers. 215+1000P is a killer combo, but 2180 has a very high definition look which is worth to throw into the combo. After a nice polish routine with the 215 (polishing/finishing/finessing pads as you need), start to choke the paint with 2180. Add layers after layers (roughly min. 1 hour between them, the more the better) and watch them disappear into the paint. You should reach the saturation point of the paint and 2180 will start to behave like any ordinary liquid LSP. As it develops a haze and doesn`t blend into the finish, you are arrived. Cover/garage the car (2180 is very sensitive even to morning dew), wait 1-2 days, top with the first layer of 1000P, then again after a day later the 2nd layer of 1000P. Done.

A little Duragloss Polish Bonding #601 would add a little more to the bonding of these products.

"Finish Kare 2180 Ultra Polymer Sealant contains cleaning agents to remove mild surface imperfections and oxidation. Cloudy paint will clear up. Dull paint will look deeper. In one step, your vehicle will have a great shine, better color, and awesome protection."

While not as strong as 215, it certainly is a good cleaner.

No, from my understanding very similar products but 218 uses an older tech polymer.

Possible to use 215 and then 2180? Waiting time between them?

Yep, that will work but I`m pretty sure you will be removing the protection left behind by 215.
