When is it time to throw out my ONR wash media and get a new one?

It was white when brand new. My sink is white porcelean. I wash the mitt with Dawn after every wash.

I have some very minor swirls. But i consider it extremeley good for my DD. They dont seem to be getting worse.

I have microfiber covered foam pads that I wash in the washing machine with my other MF towels. Some of the pads are now 2 years old and look fine once.

Like Scottwax, I use microfiber covered sponges (mine are from Target). Cleaning with Dawn after each wash, they always come out white. I use them until the covering starts to fail. That mitt looks nasty!

I`ve been using the same two noodle mitts for my ONR washes for a year - after as wash, I blast them with water, soak in Dawn and warm water, and then hand-washed - always comes out clean and looking new.
