Couple of basic (1 polishing step details) for the owner of a law firm whose cars I have been detailing on and off going on 20 years now. In fact, the first car I got paid to detail was one of their employees. He usually calls us out in the summer but he was traveling a lot so he contacted me over the holidays to set up a time to detail several cars at his office. After a wet December, we`ve really dried out the past week so it was nice to be able to set up several details to start the new year off right.
As always, the boss`s car is first. He bought this 2004 LS430 new and I`ve detailed it about once a year since new. Unfortunately, once a year isn`t enough for a black car that sits under trees at his house and has been hit 3-4 times over the nearly 8 years he has owned it. Left rear fender was covered in holograms, numerous deep bird bomb etchings on the roof and hood, front bumper has been constantly barraged by sand, dirt, etc from the constant road construction in the north Dallas area. Not really worth doing much more than a quick polish.
Should have taken before shots of the left rear fender, got the holograms 100% out of the paint. Unfortunately, I was in a huge rush for time, my son started a new job this week so I was by myself today and had two details to do. Traded out the extra polishing needed on the Lexus for 1 stepping the whole car with Optimum G-P-S instead of a separate polish and wax since we do a set price per vehicle due to the volume he gives us.
ONR wash, Clay Magic blue clay
Meguiars D300 using a Meguiars microfiber cutting disc with my PC 7424 XP to remove the buffer swirls on left rear fender and heavy scratches on trunk lid
Optimum G-P-S using an Optimum microfiber polishing pad and my PC
Armor All on the tires/fenderwells

1999 Ford F250, he`s owned this one since new and had let an employee borrow it for the holidays. I was a bit worried the inside would be trashed but it was actually really clean, glad to see the person who borrowed it took good care of the truck.
It sits outside 24/7 so the plastic trim was in sad shape. Here you can see the difference between the untreated trim (left side, center) and the treated trim (right side).

Now the whole bumper has been treated with 3D Trim Protectant (which was also used on the mirrors, mud flaps and door handles).
