This is one of the other cars David and I was able to take care of while we were out in Huntsville AL. The owner had just got back from his trip to Texas and the front of the car was covered with bugs. This car had never been washed and only wiped down with MF towels and detail spray, So I knew I was going to have some surface marring. Lets begin!

This is the car when I arrived.

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k126/ericwitt04/TruShine%20detailing/Grey%20458%20Italia/de98305b.jpg

Notice in this picture, you can clearly see the surface scratches from "just wiping with detail spray"

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k126/ericwitt04/TruShine%20detailing/Grey%20458%20Italia/2a2c1cfc.jpg

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k126/ericwitt04/TruShine%20detailing/Grey%20458%20Italia/61f1dd0e.jpg

For the first step of the decontamination stage I used Megs Body solvent to help release the bugs from the bumper (this product OK, I wont be buying any again, I would rather buy Tardis, or Tarminator next time)

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k126/ericwitt04/TruShine%20detailing/Grey%20458%20Italia/656d08dd.jpg

While that is working on the bugs, David and I use Sonax Full Effect to clean the wheels

(I love this wheel cleaner because it completely pH balanced and safe for all wheels and does an amazing job actually "cleaning" the brake dust)

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k126/ericwitt04/TruShine%20detailing/Grey%20458%20Italia/1df76e8e.jpg

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k126/ericwitt04/TruShine%20detailing/Grey%20458%20Italia/b94dbcf5.jpg

This is the Sonax reacting with the iron particles of the brake dust

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k126/ericwitt04/TruShine%20detailing/Grey%20458%20Italia/649070b8.jpg

On these wheels I used the Wheels Woolie and other various brushes to help agitate the wheels

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k126/ericwitt04/TruShine%20detailing/Grey%20458%20Italia/784a86c5.jpg

Notice even after thoroughly cleaning the wheels, there are still a few clumps of tar left behind. to remove these these, I used the Megs solvent and wheel woolie to clean it off.

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k126/ericwitt04/TruShine%20detailing/Grey%20458%20Italia/6fd9a342.jpg

Next we give the car a foam bath to help give suspension to the dirt on the surface

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k126/ericwitt04/TruShine%20detailing/Grey%20458%20Italia/a46c63d6.jpg

then rinsed and treated with 303 protectant

Next we move to the claying step, this is a very important step, you always want to make sure you get the paint surface as pure and clean as possible. We used Clay Magic blue fine clay and Dodo juice Born Slippy

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k126/ericwitt04/TruShine%20detailing/Grey%20458%20Italia/b665e03e.jpg

then we used the Metro Vac N Blow and MF towels to dry off the car

You guys do great work! Great pictures, too. I really like how you guys outline the product and processes that you use to detail a vehicle. I notice some of these guys just post up their detailing jobs and don`t explain anything. They will just say "corrected" or "tightness achieved" with accompanying pics of before and afters, it`s like, why bother? If you want to protect your product and process `secrets`, how about just don`t post, send those pics to your potential customers. Anyway, great job guys, I love the car and color, and your guys work is over the top!

Why not just call me out by name?, there are very good reasons why I omit the "Steps" and it has been covered many times over and over and over and over and over..............

I will cover it again for you Ollever, most of things all of us do are pretty uniform.....yet it is those who do not know who make a BIG deal out of those who do not give them step by step walk throughs on how to do thier job or if you are a enthusiast detailer. Let me ask a quick question Ollever? do you pay your bills with the money you make detailing....................do you have guys in your area who go out and tell YOUR customers I know what he knows and can do it for half the price?? or better yet a guy who has taken on your company name and copies everything you do?.

The short answer is "Probably not" so until you know the whole story maybe a "Mulligan" on your post is in order, back on track the 458 is "Certified tightness" great job once again gents.

Sorry Bobby, didn`t mean to get your panties into a bunch.... as a matter of fact I do rely on detailing for income, partially anyway, but I`m always looking for ways to do things faster or better.

Easy Gents, It`s all good here. thanks for the complements. but you really shouldn`t talk about the Godfather of Detailing like that. always respect your elders and especially my man Bob.

Bob speaks the truth and calling him and others out like that when you have no rep on here takes some cajones. There is a plethora of information on this site and if you`re trying to learn from the writeups exclusively, thats taking a shortcut at best or riding pros coattails at the worst.

Eric and David, you guys did that car proper. Great job.
