these microfiber pads look similar to the optimum and the 5" DA backing plate looks similiar to the one that comes with the G110v2 but smaller. anyone heard or use any of these?

Looks like three sizes, 3.25", 5.25", and 6.25" and says there will be a cutting pad version coming soon.

MicroShine 3.25" Microfiber Polishing Pad (http://www.autodetailingsolutions.net/microshine-3-25-inch-polishing-pad.html)

MicroShine 5.25" Microfiber Polishing Pad (http://www.autodetailingsolutions.net/microshine-5-25-polishing-pad.html)

MicroShine 6.25" Microfiber Polishing Pad (http://www.autodetailingsolutions.net/microshine-6-25-inch-polishing-pad.html)

It also notes that they were designed to be compatible with rotary polishers, with an advanced laminating system to keep the pads from coming apart.

For the price I`m half tempted to pick some up and give `em a shot....

Strange thing is I can find absolutely nothing referencing a company called "MicroShine" other than one in Australia which appears to only make and distribute janitorial supplies.

Also just noticed ADS has a sale on OptiCoat this week that beats the AG VIP from before, and free shipping should apply on an order over $100.

These definitely look the Optimum cutting pads that Fermani posted up.. Same sizes too, the foam used in it looks identical.

I also got a email from ADS about the new MicroShine pads and assortment of backing plates .The rotary bp seemed to have a thick foam with a resemblance to 3m bp. Anyone ever heard of MicroShine before ?

99.9% chance these are the same exact pads as the optimum MF pads. The micro shine polishing pad is only available. The cutting pad will be available in a couple weeks. Ironically, optimum has the polishing pads in stock, but not the cutting pads. The optimum pads will be available in 3.25, 5.25, and 6.25, just the same as the micro shine pads. This isn`t rocket science.

Plus, the adhesive is supposed to be way better on the MS pads, which would be a big plus compared to the Meg`s MF pads. You can use these with a rotary, too! These look very promising. I just ordered a few with the 3.5" rotary BP from ADS. The 5" rotary backing plate will be available pretty soon....

I don`t see a lower price than AG`s VIP. It`s still $59.99 right now.

It was $44.99 yesterday when I looked. The sale must have ended.

Yeah, definitely looks like a shared supplier. Gonna jump on these pads to test them out, tired of having 1 out of every 3-4 megs MF pads blow apart on me.

it looks like pakshak has the backing plate pictured above as well, but call it euro-shine. same backing plate, and different name determined by the vendor selling it. wouldn`t be surprised if they get the mf pads shortly as well...

Anybody remember Artie Johnson? Guy use to dress up as a German soldier and peak out from behind a potted plant (Rowan & Martins Laugh In) and remark, " Ver-rey in-ter-rest-ing"

I dunno, that`s what popped in my head when I read this thread. I`m just guessing, but - I`d be surprised if other companies don`t come out with their own versions of the highly popular MF pad. We may see a bit of a price war (yee-haw!) and who knows, maybe one is a little better than the other. Now if CG and Lake Country .........

Looks like ADS has changed the names from Microshine to Optimum. I don`t know if that solves the mystery or confuses the matter even more...

Hmm.... well it solves one mystery, but brings up another. Why were they called MicroShine in the first place?

Also looks like the "Optimum" flexible 5" backing plate for rotary is the same one PBMG sells; isn`t that sourced from LC?
