Some of you here on Autopia might be interested in knowing how the "pros" here on the forum wash their cars by hand. Check out this link which visually and verbally describes the process most of the more verbal members of forum advocate:

Guess I`m not sure what the point of this thread is, especially given that the wording indicates a CLEAR intent to attack/belittle members of this forum.

Richie, here`s what Bud failed to successfully post a link to:

How to Wash a Car by Hand - wikiHow (http://www.wikihow.com/Wash-a-Car-by-Hand)

Oh that poor car...I kinda like those too :(

I can`t see that as an attack on anybody here since I can`t imagine anybody at Autopia washing a vehicle that way.

Oh sheesh, I lose huh? Just wasted a few minutes of my life on this one :o

I think the attack would be the quotes around the word pros.

I guess I`m not a pro since I use ONR. I guess I should close my shop and hang my head in shame.

Agreed. I don`t see the point of the thread though???

I`ve seen worse advice on other non-detailing related sites....but I can`t recall ever seeing that kind of advice on this forum...

I have seen similar advice to this quote though, more in line with the use of pressure washers....

Hose off the car to loosen the dirt. Don`t use a strong jet, as this can rub grit over the paint and scratch it.

...can`t recall seeing that ever happen in my 20+ year career using a pressure washer.

I would probably take that guys advice over running my car through a high volume tunnel wash though! :D

Well, I am a "scare-quotes Pro" as I`m not a professional detailer but David Fermani has declared me an "honorary Professional" :chuckle:
