I have a client that brought me a poorly painted F-150. it is white and who ever did the painting did not mask of very well. There is over spray on nearly every panel, you cant see it but you can definatly feel it. He asked me what i can do, so i took out some Meg. mild clay, lubed an area and ran over it a couple of times. The over spray came off and he was excited, but is this wise to do the whole truck? it was painted 3 weeks ago, i dont believe i can do any polishing afterwards or even apply sealant yet. Should i just recomend he wait awhile to let the paint gas out first?

you shouldn`t have any problems claying it. depending on the paint it maybe cured already.

Newly applied paint can be polished after ~24 hours, so a mild abrasive like detailer`s clay should be fine (don`t use too much pressure)
