So I offered to help a friend detail his wife`s vehicle.

Where of course I ended up doing 95% of the work.

Boy did these wheels ever eat up a significant amount of time.

Oh, and clay took forever, the lower panels were covered in brake dust. Started by using his Meguiar`s clay (white) which did nothing, then switched to my Riccardo Yellow which was more effective, but still required many passes on lower panels.

Also did engine bay detail and interior. Total time was 8hours, all in direct sunlight, shoulders got burnt. No sunscreen. =\

Process was:

Wheel/tire/well clean

Engine detail

Dawn wash

Clay

Wash

Wax

Carpet vacuum

Leather seat clean/condition

Dashboard dust/clean and UV protection

Windows

Trim

Wife said it looked better than when they picked it up. Mission accomplished.

I kick myself for not taking before/after pics of engine, but it turned out nice, but then again this is a new vehicle and a light degrease and trim restore would naturally be all that`s needed to create good results.

Looks clean.

You may want to change your tire shine application method. Spraying it on like that will typically stain most driveways.

Agreed. I usually use a piece of cardboard to prevent overspray onto the driveway. Or apply to foam applicator first.

It was my last step, and perhaps did it was done on purpose..haha. Water based product. Will wash away. ;)
