I have been using HD Dressing for about a year now on my tires, wheel wells and black plastic under parts. Looks Ok, lasts not so good, but now after a year things are starting to turn "chaulkie" or whitish. Am I doing something wrong with the product, or is this the nature of HD Dressing? Is there a way to correct the chaulkiness?

Thanks

I don`t know that particular product, but would gather it is a water based amino-siloxane resin based dressing.

Clean the heck out of the affected areas, like the tires, etc with a decent all purpose until they are clean.

When the water doesn`t bead, when the surface is not slick, when the white is gone, they are clean.

Let them dry and them inspect.

Sounds like you got an overly amount of dressing on the parts.

What the heck, it won`t hurt, now will it?

You can always reapply, reapply, etc.

Thanks, That is what I was hoping. Is there a product that may not do this but that works well?

Griots makes a tire / rubber cleaner

Rubber Prep, 16 Ounces - Cleaners - Wheels & Tires - Car Care - Griot`s Garage (http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/car+care/wheels+%26+tires/wheel+tire+cleaners/rubber+prep,+16+ounces.do)

Don`t know how well it works but with Griots if you don`t like it send it back

I haven`t tried all the tire cleaners but this one is the best I`ve tried so far. After all others have plateaued out, this one can remove stuff others couldn`t.
