It took 4 days to complete. Paint was extremely trashed, but that is the norm around here. :(

I wasn`t going to take any pictures because I initially guessed this detail to be a 2 day job and wanted to be done asap, but 3.5 hours later - the time it took to do the hood I realized that it will take a lot longer and occasionally I stopped to document.

What I started with

nice resto!

I recently did a 2006 VW Jetta in black. 105 couldnt touch the swirls, UNO couldnt touch the swirls and powergloss barely made a dent.

These/Those cars are no joke. I literally have had to push down with my face on the rotary(custom made face pads lol) to get anywhere when compounding VW. What did you end up using Paul?

Thomas, sick work. How did you like working on the "non traditional" fender flares and roof? I like these cars for that exact reason. Very sharp - you better be getting some bonuses on the black cars youre doing for these guys :D

Paul - I`d like to kmow as well what worked for you.

Mike - Thank you.

auto - those were just washed/clayed. No bonuses, but I get good money with 503.

Thanks all!

I ended up using UNO mixed with sand. lol, I kid. I drew the line with the job as a quick polish, which the client was more then happy with. They knew the condition going into it, and the end result was still great, minus the deeper swirls and RIDS.

Sometimes the swirls win. I once did a white 7 series and trunk was "too much" :)

Sometimes you have to maintain your sanity versus inching forward.

Great correction Thomas, those kind of jobs just suck the lifeforce out a brotha........................ as for deep defects, Edge black wool with a DeWalt(Because of the torque that rotary has) would have corrected that Jetta finish with 105 at 1,200- 1,350 RPM with slow passes.
