Owner of this black EP3 civic (http://www.autopia.org/forum/click-brag/130445-black-ep3-civic-detailed.html) that I had previously detailed sold the Ep3 and picked up this 330 CI BMW.

Process:

ONR Wash

Clay with Meguiar`s clay

ONR Wash again

Meguiar`s #83 DACP via PC7424 and Red Meguiar`s cutting pad

Menzerna FP via white pad

Meguiar`s Ultimate Wax via white Meguiar`s finishing pad

Wipe down with Meguiar`s QD

Wheels/tires cleaned with Meguiar`s AIO (3:1)

Tires and wiper cowl dressed with Hypedressing (3:1)

Windows cleaned with Stoners Invisible Glass

Exhaust cleaned with #0000 steele wool/generic glass cleaner

Polished with Mother`s All Metal Polish

Debaged the 330 CI using hairdryer, plastic razor blade. Residue removed with lots of Goo Gone and #83 and a leftover/worn cutting pad that I keep around for uses like this.

Metal trim was polished with same DACP as the paint (x2-3)

Car looks great!

You should definitely try Meguiar`s Ultimate Compound, I think you would like it much better than #83.

Great detail shots. And I love the debadging.

This is just the car I was hoping to get used last year before I wound up with my Accord coupe. I really wish there had been a better selection.

DACP-- wow, blast from the past! never would`ve never thought to use it on that trim. I`m glad I still have mine. Really nice work there, especially on the debadging! Gotta love the nice , freshly polished blue now!

Debadging and exhaust polishing were nice touches. Interesting the selection of the glass cleaner for the exhaust.

Surely the owner will be happy. Nice work.

Man, I used to use DACP and a PC. After buying a FLEX 3401 and trying Menzerna PO85RD and Power finish I never looked back. It is absolutely worth the investment to get a FLEX and ditch the over-the-counter megs products. Not being critical here. I know from experience how much time and effort this took but I also know from experience how much better life is with a FLEX and Menzerna products. You are at that level where it would be worth the money to upgrade.

Great job. I love the E46, of course I am partial because I have a 325. I might think of debadging mine to make it look cleaner.

I think that the Ultimate wax is fantastic. It is the easiest to use wax there is and it lasts a long time. I currently have it on my wifes 2007 328 And it is in its third month and still going strong. I would agree with one of the guys here that ultimte compound (or Uno) is probably a more modern choice. Use up your 83 then give it a try.
