Did anyone need to get some kind of conversion piece for it to fit on the flex? or is it not flex compatible?

after I took off the flex backing plate I saw that the housing for the flex doesn`t seem to be compatible for the MF backing plate from meg`s...anyone have a solution for this?

The stock Flex backing plate is acceptable to use with the 6" MF pads.

That said, I`ve not had much luck with the MF system and the Flex -- it works far better on an non-forced rotation tool.

I also used te stock flex plate with the mf pads and had no issues.

I also had better luck with the megs mf pads on my da instead of the flex 3401.

I know that it works with the flex, but it appears to generate a lot of heat. I was thinking those holes that are in the meg`s backing plate should help keep air circulating and keep the pads cooler...

More and more i`m thinking maybe I`ll go ahead and pull the trigger on a griot`s da =x
