2011 Nissan 370Z, molested by the dealer. Owner was really unhappy with how his car looked in the sun and how the swirls made such a unique color look so flat. After looking it over, I was unhappy too.

I started off with Meguiars #105 using an orange Optimum cutting pad @ 1200 rpm using my Dewalt 849 rotary.

I then used Optimum Hyper Polish with a yellow Meguiars polishing pad @ 1200 rpm with my Dewalt and finished with 3M Ultrafina and a blue UF pad at 1000-1800-1000 rpm.

Temps were in the mid 80s and humidity was very low so I did have dust to wash off the car-twice!

Final process:

ONR wash, Meguiars white clay

Optimum Hyper Polish with a yellow Meguiars polishing pad @ 1200 rpm, Dewalt rotary

ONR wash

3M Ultrafina and a blue UF pad at 1000-1800-1000 rpm, Dewalt rotary

2008 Chevy Corvette. Owner just traded in his truck, decided he wanted a sports car instead. Overall it was in very good condition. Same process inside and out as the Lexus above, other than the need for Optimum Metal Polish on the exhaust tips.

Great job Scott. Are you using the new Optimum Metal Polish? How do you find it compares to the older version?

Thanks, Pat!

The new Optimum Metal Polish (blue version) is basically faster than the original (pink) version so if you still have the original one, unless you have a need for speed, I`d use it up before getting a new bottle.

Excellent details as always. That 370 looks amazing Scott. :bow

Are you liking Poxy or just using it up?

I like Proxy, has a really deep look to it. Application in the sun doesn`t seem to affect removal or how it looks, so that is a plus!

Nice work Scott! Claying the 370 after polishing any marring pick-up or was the paint hard enough that no marring was induced?

Nissan paint is hard. I tried the KB method but gave up after 1/4th of the hood and switched to my rotary. :lol

Rasky-thanks! Really awesome color, love how it changes as you walk around it.

Charlie-funny how my username has become a minor internet meme.
