Hey all, been reading this forum for a while now, finally decided to roll up my sleeves and take a stab at it with a new car, so I am starting from scratch.

Here is the car:

Here is what I bought for the first detailing job:

Any tips? I`ve seen a friend claybar once, but it`ll be my first time. From the threads i`ve been reading, pretty much go slow, use lots of lube and don`t drop the clay.

Then the ONR I plan on using a single bucket + microfiber towel to wash/dry.

Then i`ll be using opti-seal for the entire car, paint, glass, trim, wheels. Applying with the included foam applicator, the directions says to just apply and no need to wipe off? can someone chime in? I got the impression that i need to wipe it off after applying?

Then I`ll just use the freebie tire shine at the end.

It`ll be my first time using all of the above products, hope it goes well :nervous:

Best thing to do is read up the forums on the products you purchased. Get familiar with their application and gain a comfort level.

You`ve got brand new paint and clearcoat, so you`ve got a great foundation to work with. VW factory paint is usually very easy to work with, and doesn`t need a lot of hard work to make it look great.
