Need a clear coat for aluminum wheels that can be used at a home shop that will stand up to the elements and heat etc.

Do not desire the type of material that has to have a light to cure. Do not mind a two stage material....just need something that is tough, and will stand up to all of the hazzards that wheel coatings are subjected to.....

Thanks,

Nic

Gtechniq C5

I use this too and like it - very easy on and off but sticks pretty good once you have it on there. If you have 845, 476, or FK1000P in your arsenal those will work as well.

You mention `clear coat`. If that`s really the case, here`s a Wurth product that is a clear coat.

Wurth High Gloss Clear Wheel Lacquer (http://www.autopia-carcare.com/wus-893351930.html)

If you`re thinking about a wheel dressing to help minimize brake dust and dirt, then the Gtechniq products are probably the more durable and long lasting than the the other wax/sealant type products.

How does the C5 hold up? I am curious as BMW wheels are a pain...
