Hey guys been a busy boy.

I machine polished my car, well half of it. :buffer:

I like a wee test, so I just bought some finish kare 1000p sealant and I have a sample of Chemical Guys Jetseal so I thought why not test the two ? Both known as long lasting sealants and I happen to have both.

Ok enough chit chat.

Head to head

Obviously there isn`t much I can say finish wise, both look nice not a lot of difference really.

I will update this when I wash the car and let you guys known how it lasts.

sounds great! i`m thining about ordering some fk1000p for this year--since the dirt shedding seems to be better than collinite.

The FK 1000 should win easily

That depends if he applied the sealants with a leather or fur Sporran. :croc:

And if there are updates, did you use 2 hands of jetseal or just 1? My experience (limited to wheels) shows that JS is more reflective/brighter than FK, but FK sheds dirt much more efficiently.

I always found the opposite - JS109 seemed to deepen slightly, 1000P always bright and sharp.

Having not used JS on proper paint my input is quite limited, thus Mike your findings may be the truth.

I would like to try the JS 2 coats approach after OS runs out, as JS is *for me* much easier to work with than FK1000p.

I think thats the most common finding with 109 vs 1000P. 1000P, for me has always been on prepped paint or at least smooth decontaminated paint and I think that plays a part. We sell alot of 1000P and I always tell people thinthinthin, but even with the thinness of application some people run into trouble - which kills me because its always been easy for me to use.

No update from OP after 7 months I guess?

If I had to predict, assuming he still washes the car correctly and carefully, JS109 will have dropped off, 1000P should still be there and releasing dirt/beading nicely.

I have not had much luck getting any durability out of JS109. I find M16 or 846 is much better. Or if you want to compare sealant to sealant both BF and Zaino blow it away. Haven`t tried FK1000 in years.

Are any of CG sealants any good any more? I like the butter wax they sent me due to its ease of use.
