I had my car washed by someone claiming to be a professional detailer.

The sad results.. Swirl city.

Pictures follow.

Absolutely not ruined. This is typical of swirlmatics, and improper washing techniques. A good "buffing" will take care of that without any problems provided you have enough paint to work with.

Here is a link to a Chevy Malibu I did...similar situation to yours.

Time to find an actual pro. Where are you located?

I spoke with zippymbr (Autopia detailer) on here. I am in Raleigh NC.

I posted pictures mostly for reassurance. I cant stand looking at my car anymore :-(

RC, hard to believe a guy could go so far wrong in one wash, what did he do, wash it dry with windex and a shop wipe? really, how could someone do that much damage?

Well on close inspection of my car I found sand in the weatherstripping and on the hood/roof- I think it was not properly rinsed. Also, it seems he MUST have been using dirty towels... To me it looks like he just used whatever was handy to dry it.

That`s all I can think.

Id call the dude out and ***** at him. I dunno, I wouldnt trust the guy to fix it if he failed that bad the first time.

This is why I never let anyone wash my car but me.
