After reading and searching and waiting for supplies to come in this is the process I`ve come up with. Please let me know if anything seems out of line for my first attempt. I have two vehicles I will being doing this too. The 2011 Jet Black X5 and the extra large 2006 Chevrolet Duramax Crew Cab w/ 6 inch lift, yikes!. The process will change with time and routine, I know, but does this seem adequate for a trial run?
1. ONR pre-soak
2. Wash with 2 bucket method, doing wheel wells and wheels first, then rinsing out buckets and media. Using the 2 new buckets wash rest of car one panel at time, rinsing often and filling mitt up with solution. (Using Optimum Regular Shampoo)
3. Use sheeting method to eliminate water.
4. Use leaf blower to eliminate even more water.
5. Blot using WW and plush MF towels.
6. Clay entire vehicle, wheels and windows using Clay Magic(blue) on X5 with clay lube supplied and Griots clay on Chevy using either ONR of #34 as clay lube.
7. Either an ONR wash or spray entire vehicle with Mequiar’s Final Inspection #34 to cleanse paint of clay residue.
8. Clean/polish wheels and dress tires and wheel wells.
9. Tape of all plastic trim.
10. Apply one coat of Autoglym SRP either by hand with foam applicator, or by PC using a white pad.
11. Buff of using plush Eurow 600GSM MF towels.
12. Either ONR wash or spray entire vehicle with Mequiar’s Final Inspection #34 to cleanse paint.
13. Apply collinite IW #845 immediately after (by hand) or let Autoglym SRP cure for at least 12 hours and then apply Autoglym HD wax (by hand) with supplied foam pad.
14. Buff off wax using AG supplied rag or plush Eurow microfiber.
15. Last detail spray with Griots Speed Shine.
16. Dress out windows and exterior trim and them move to the inside!
