Hey guys, I`ve got a guy who asked me today if his carbon fiber trunk can be painted. i`ve never personally painted any c/f, but looking to help him out. I`m sure it can`t be much different than regular paint. I`m sure the prep process would be different though, which is what I was curious about (What grit to sand the c/f with without harming it)

Any help would be appreciated!

Btw, trunk is currently gray, and it is going to be painted jet black.

Nope no difference as long as the surface is clear. You should be able to sand and paint the area(s) desired.
