So heres the story. Had the passanger side of the car painted bc of some dents, dings and rust, and had the trunk painted because it was pushed in. Now the rest of the car looks like **** because the new paint is so shiney.

I have used compound remover a bunch of times which leads me to believe that took alot of my clear coat off so its not that shiney. Even the autobody guy said it. What can i do to try and match the paint close or get the shine back.

I was thinking about compounding, polishing, then waxing. Not too sure what to do though. He told me to use bleach white, the stuff you use on wheels.

What year/model car is this? Unless your existing paint is dirty and/or oxidized, you really won`t be able to alter the color. You can clean and polish it to remove the scratches you created, but that may not help with the color matching issue. To clean the paint you should use a paint safe All Purpose Cleaner (APC) like Optimum Power Clean linked here: Optimum Power Clean (http://www.optimumcarcare.com/opclean.php) and scrub the paint with one of these: Bug Blocks (http://www.buffandshine.com/bug-blocks-p-185-l-en.html)

Unless you`re willing to take on the polishing yourself, I suggest letting us know what part of the planet you`re on so we can dispatch an Autopian in your area to give you some one on one advice.
