I`m being relocated to Louisville Kentucky in early Jan from California. As this is my first time being there and in need of an apartment for residence. Anyone here have any recommendation to a nice apartment complex? Here are some basic criterias --

1. Quiet & SAFE location

2. Monthly rent ranging up to 800 USD Max (with, w/o washing machines/dryers)

3. Community Gym

4. Preferably attached garage, if not will consider as well.

5. In the proximity of 10-15 miles around Louisville downtown.

6. Preferably a fairly new apartment complex.

I hope these criteria is not too harsh. Any recommendation are welcome!! If I do sign the contract with the lender, I will definitely provide your referral name for any referral benefits.

Thanks

Welcome to Louisville. There are many different locations within 15 miles of downtown. The east end is usually considered the nicer area but has rough spots as well. Try and stay a way from the west end. I wish I could help more. Any questions of certain areas I may be able to help with. Good Luck. For what its worth, I pay $500 for a 1br in SouthWest Louisville. No garage but does have pool, gym, and washer dryer hook ups. The area is alright. $800 should find something fairly nice.

I would try one of those apartment finder websites and put those criteria in and when you get your results, come back on the site and those of us in Louisville should be able to give you some information on the apartment complexes in your search.

I am surprised your employer`s HR department doesn`t have info for moves.

I`ve lived at Canter Chase and Lyndon Crossings and both were nice and fine. Close to a bar, but no garage. Canter Chase had carport though. If you are looking for a garage I would just try to find a house to rent and get a gym membership at Louisville Athletic Club or Urban Active. I believe I paid $635/mo at Lyndon Crossings for a 2bd/2ba and $915/mo at Canter Chase for a 3bd/2ba.
