Hi, new member! :wavey

How do I get this weird stuff off the roof of my Jag?

I have no idea what it is, and it won`t come off by soaking etc.

I have just ordered some detailing products so I can make it all shiny again (have only had this car for a couple of months), will any of the following take car of it? :help::

Bilt Hamber Auto Clay

PB SSR1/2

PB PwC (Blue)

Jakob. Any idea what caused it? That would give oyu a better handle on how it might be removed or at least diminished in appearance. Could be any number of things including acid in bird droppings, acid rain, some sort of mineral deposit, etc. If I had to guess from the pictures, I`d say bird droppings. How to "cure" the problem? Not sure. Depends on how much it has etched the clear coat, how thick the clear is, and therefore whether the clear will accept the level of compounding required to level the paint. Perhaps others have some other suggestions....

Good luck.

Hi Jeff

I have no idea as it was already there when I bought the car :/ But yeah, it looks like the work of a bird... I sure hope some kind of compound will do the job!

I am very sure no DIY products will get rid of this stain completely.

Bird dropping. By the looks of it, it has been there for sometime.

Even if you compound it, I`m sure there`ll be a faint mark left behind.

For this kinda stain, I`ll just wetsand gently with 1500 paper, and then compound.
