Hi, I have a new(to me) black BMW project that has had poorly applied touchup paint in spots. What is the best method to remove the extra paint? Thanks

You can use lacquer thinner that you can get from home depot, but any area that touches the lacquer thinner will need to be re-polished.

If you do not have compounding/polishing skills, do not attempt this on your own.

912mom- Another approach (and the one I usually reach for) is the Lanka Blob Eliminator stuff. I`m always a little leery of using lacquer thinner, but a lot of that is just my old-school nature when it comes to using thinner on cars (experience with lacquer paints, etc.).
