My OEM 18s on my g35 coupe have dulled and the coating is flaking. What is the best product to use to bring back the new look without actually having them refinished?

If the coating is flaking, nothing will bring it back short of a refinish. Have you been using wheel cleaners or going through car washes?

no I just use ONR, but I bought it used a year ago so who knows

what is a typical price to get my wheels refinished, and they have no curb rash

Ahh, well... the good news is you can`t make them any worse. I have brought back some pretty nasty wheels using 0000 steel wool and then follow up with a heavy cutting compound like 105. But if they are really trashed, the refinish is the way to go. Everyone seems to charge about $100 per wheel for a refinish. To me, at that price and four trashed wheels, there are two options. If you are handy with a rattle can and have lots of time and patience, you can actually do a fantastic job refinishing them (and fix any curb rash too). Otherwise its time to consider some aftermarket wheels.

You could have your wheels chromed. That is what I did on my Mazda RX-8. Looks great. Check it out.
