A group of softball players went on a road trip last week and covered, not only the windows with their names and cheers, but a trailer as well. I was asked by a friend if I knew of something I could use to remove the marker from the trailer. I stopped by and took a few pictures today, and was perplexed by what I saw.

The trailer is painted aluminum, and has been used for hauling luggage and misc items on trips for the last few years. There is still some of the marker remaining, and it looks like globbed on paint [the random white spots].

But where the marker was "removed" it left staining on the paint.

All of what you see was where the marker was removed, but that has remained. I have not tried anything, as it looks like it has already been scrubbed [you can see it looks like that is the case in the first picture].

Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!

Typically, the paint used on trailers is not what I`d consider a true automotive grade. To make matters worse trailers don`t see allot of care and the paint begins to oxidize and become porous allowing markers and graffiti to penetrate deeply. I`d try some enamel reducer from a local paint supply shop. Put some on a rag and test on a small affected area and see what happens. My fear is that you might see the paint begin to break down as well so keep a careful watch on the rag and the painted surface.

Good Luck!
