Was wondering if anyone else had seen the following link. This is just a hoot - this 89 year old lady has owned this car through 3 divorces. She paid a little over $3,000 for the car new and has spent ~50,000 since 1964 on maintenance. She believes in buying parts which are lifetime warranted. Midas muffler has put on 7 exhausts; Sears has replaced the shocks 3 times. Firestone has put in 18 Interstate batteries. She has had the car to 120. When she got a ticket doing 92 in a 55 she added cruise control. The car looks extremely well for such an old car.
She’s a smart lady, when she needs to have something done to the car, she is right there with the tech or else she leaves. She provides a diagram of all the areas which needs lubed. I really need to invite her to Autopia.
