Owner requested a full exterior paint correction. He also requested wax instead of sealant (or both wax and sealant) due to time constraints and how long we recommend the sealant to properly cure. He told us we didn`t need to touch the interior since he was only paying for a full exterior correction, but we decided to throw it in for free (just a vac and some 303).

This is by far my favorite car ever. I love m3`s and started my detail company with my best friend so that I can save up and buy one by the end of this year (He wants parts for his Ralliart). Normally we split the money 50/50 but when the car arrived I told Rohit that I was doing this car by myself. I get all the money, and the next car he can do it himself and get the money for that one, just because i like this car so much. :)

Process:

The car was put in the sun and the owner pointed out any imperfections in the paint that he wanted removed (The paint was severely swirled). The car was pulled into the driveway and washed using the Gilmour Foam Gun and Chemical Guys Citrus Wash. Then, the car was dried with a Waffle Weave Drying towel and cracks were blown out using the compressor. It was then clayed with Meguiar`s Clay. Finally the car was taped up.

Now as everyone knows Jet Black BMW paint is extremely SOFT!!!!!. If it was any softer I could leave permanent fingerprints in the paint. The combo M105 on a LC Purple Wool Pad followed by 203 on LC Orange and 106fa On LC Black worked the best for me so I applied to the rest of the car.

The combo worked wonders on all parts of the car except the hood. Immediately after picking up a bead of M105, the wool pad would dry the compound out immediately. Normally if this happens we put a drop more of M105 and go over the dried compound and it disappears, but not in this situation. No Matter how much compound was applied the dried compound would not go away and the compound applied to remove the dry compound was drying up immediately and leaving a huge mess. So, I switched to a LC Yellow Cutting Pad and it did wonders.

:goodjob Those E46 M3`s are to die for. BTW, what does this father do that enables him to have an M6 and an R8? Does he need an apprentice?

You woulda saved yourself a lot of time and effort using the Griot`s clay bar instead of Meg`s. It makes the Megs clay look like diaper rash clinging onto poopoo drawers. I kid you not! Try it for yourself. You can even split the glob in half and it`s still twice the man Meg`s clay aught to be.

Do you even know which Meg`s clay he used?

LOL! I only speak from experience. If you like Megs` clay, more power to you. Chances are you have much bigger biceps and shoulders than me as a result from the extra elbow grease required to use it.

Auto magic has the patent on clay.

you can get light medium and aggressive clay.

Since when do you need elbow grease to clay?
