I have a 2006 Pontiac GTO that I am OCD about detailing. Now that summer has come so have the bugs and whenever I drive around at night, the front of my car is covered the next day. I do not want to resort to washing the car daily just to keep the bugs off. I was thinking about using my Tarminator but that is not good for the finish. I generally use that stuff to remove sap and then follow with claybar and wax. Are there any safe products out there that will remove the bugs and not scratch or mar my paint? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Get them off before they have a chance to dry. I always use FK425 right when I get home and clean the little buggers off.

I just use a quick detailer when I get home, spray the QD on and let it sit for a few moments and wipe off. The stubborn bugs you may need to do it a couple of times, just keep the area wet with the QD.

Something I should mention as well, I use a QD that is very slick and bugs don`t stick as easy. A few that I know of that are pretty slick are CG Clear Seal(my favorite) , CG Speed Wipe, Poorboys Spray & Wipe and Poorboys Spray & Gloss.

The Megairs QD isn`t very slick IMO.
