Hello Everyone,

I`ve been around vehicles my whole life. My grandparents use to own a Ford Dealership for about 25 years. My grandmother sold it so the two of them could retire. I use to compete in car audio competition, car shows and road racing / auto crossing.

Now, I detail vehicles since I`m fighting Social Security to get disability. I had a little "fender bender" in Houston, TX back on June 8th, 2001. That was the night Tropical Storm Allison made a nice little mess in town, although, I will never remember it since I was in a coma for 3 weeks. I can no longer smell or taste anything.

Any ways...... Long story. I just wanted to introduce myself so I can start making post on the site.

Thanks!! :spot

Thanks, and, do not worry about the wreck. I`m just trying to figure out how/why Ben Taub kept me alive. I was in Coma level 8, which means I should have been gone. Here is what my car looked like BEFORE:

Welcome to Autopia:welcome

I lived in Pearland but was visiting San Antonio the weekend Allison hit. The water covered half of my front yard but stopped short of the house.

My wife was doing her residency at Ben Taub during that time but she was seeing children mostly. It`s the best trauma center in Texas.

Congrats for making it out of that accident alive.

Thanks for the welcome to Autopia. In "MY" opinion, I wish I didn`t. It`s not fun when you have to fight for everything in ones life.

Which place do you like more? The Houston or San Antonio area? I lived in San Antonio for almost a year and was not too happy with the place. I have family who live at a ranch up in the hills in Boerne.

I prefer San Antonio over Houston because of the reduced humidity plus we have family in San Antonio. We didn`t have any family in the Houston area. We actually lived in Houston for 3 1/2 years then Pearland for 3 1/2, then Sugar Land for 4. I definately prefered Sugar Land because that`s where I had the shortest commute, nicest house, nicest neighborhood, etc.

I`m sure there`s a reson you survived the crash. Hang in there.

Well, I have a lawyer on my case trying to get mr claimed as being disabled. My biggest problem is, I look normal. Know one knows I have any problems, trake (sp), brain damage, body is all nice and cut-up, chest pains and so on.
