I`ll be tinting the tails on my other car soon (Nite Shades) and would like to get it nice & shiny. Just the Krylon clearcoat is nowhere near shiny enough. I want to to shine like the paint.
What product & what inexpensive buffer options do I have here?
I assume the polish I use for paint would be ok?

Since you are using Night Shades, I would wetsand them to get them nice and smooth first. Use 2000 followed by 3000 grit wet/dry sandpaper and then use megs 105 followed by megs 205 to buff to a perfect shine.
Here`s a picture of mine, although I used Glasurit paint and clear.

This is how I did mine (and any body shop could do it really cheap as I used less than $10 in supplies):
Sorry for the shotty quality but they were taken with my blackberry...
These were done with Deltron 4000 Premium Clear (https://buyat.ppg.com/refinishProductCatalog/ViewProduct.aspx?ProductID=454effa5-6fee-4083-a1b5-146732110fc9) mixed it as normal then did 10:1 with Global`s 9700 black bc.
Scuffed up:
