I had unfortunate thing happened to my car, wet concrete splattered on the side of the door and now it`s dry and hard. How can you get rid of this as safely as possible?

I don`t know of any cleaner that would take off dried concrete. The only thing I can think of is to use a plastic putty knife and scrape carefully. Maybe some water will help...wet scraping Sorry, dindn`t mean to make fun.

I can send you 8oz or so of concrete remover sold by a local company here if you like. Its sugar based, and breaks down the concrete. It will cost you a few bucks though, as it was $50 a gallon. Send me a pm and I`ll see what I can do.

Believe it or not, it won`t do anything to the paint. I had the same thing happen last year to my daughter`s NBP Acura CL-S, and I used some concrete remover on it. Spray it on, watch it foam, then rinse the concrete off.

I`ve never used it personally, but it sounds like it`s designed for what you need ...

Dried concrete IMHO is the worst thing to remove. I have found that a hot pressure washer (over 190*) and over 2000 PSI will actually blast it off with little effort.

Buy the Backset, absolutely the easiest way to remove concrete and does no harm. Also works well for lime deposits from drips in car garages.

Has anyone tried it on tar or sap?

I tried it on sap, and it didn`t work.

I got a call from a friend at a popular construction company(I won`t mention the name here) working on a building downtown. Well they spilt concrete over the edge of the 31st story. I used clay to remove the concrete on the cars, worked great. Granted the concrete was like little rain drops so it removed easily but I had bought some concrete cleaner, I believe it was what was mentioned earlier but never had to use it.

i once had a dime size splatter of concrete on a car i was working on, and i searched on here and it said to use vinegar

so i soaked a paper towel in vinegar and let it sit on the concrete for a minute then kinda buffed a little off the top

i had to do this a few times, but it worked!
