So this will be my first summer in ages without a garage. I just finished washing and claying my G37, and I realize that I have no shade to work in for the rest of the day (and can`t leave to work elsewhere since I`m watching my kids). I`m heading out of town this evening and really wanted to get my BFWD sealant applied before starting the long drive.

The instructions are pretty clear about not using on hot paint/in direct sunlight if possible, but the paint is prepped and I`ll be waiting a week if I don`t do it this afternoon.

Is there a huge problem using Blackfire (or any sealant) on hot paint?

Well, really, its unlikely that any damage will be caused by applying in direct sunlight.

What you might find happening, however, is the sealant may become more difficult to remove and will haze over much faster than normal.

You could also apply at night, if you have a nice set of halogens.
