I detailed the key to my Acura Legend. Woolite, magic eraser, and toothpicks. Then the black part was dressed with 303 Aerospace. Am I really that crazy? Do you guys find yourselves doing weird things like this sometimes?

Nope the only thing I like to use everywhere is my PC with my brush attachment, cleaning walls, desk, and anything that needs to be cleaned :D

Let`s see -- I AIO`d the glass shower enclosure in my master bath, and you want to know if detailing a key is odd?

Just sayin`....

I once polished the metal on my key, it actually came out surprisingly shiny. I gave it a spray of WD-40 before the next use-that way the key would help lubricate the inner parts of the door/ignition locks. I regularly use Folex on stained clothes, Vinylex on my waterbed mattress, and leather magic on my wallet. My eyeglasses are treated with OCW. but I have previously used other automotive products on them. I can see clearer in the rain, they dry quicker, and the lenses don`t fog when I come in from outside. I think I just like the smell of automotive products, and they usually leave things shiny, which is a bonus to me.

You know you`re just a little whacked when you detail your lawnmower and snowthrower...

Quick question....

1st - the toothpicks wood or plastic

2nd - was the 303 Aerospace sprayed on a towel or directly on the key

3rd - did you check with IPA wipes in between

:)

i polished the brass colored metal on one of my craftsman tool box keys so i could tell the key for the top and bottom box apart. frustrating always using the wrong key the first time. .. i have to re-do it abolut once a month because it oxidizes again pretty quickly, going to have to try putting some SG on it , ha.

My lord, I have never even considered doing this before.

I`d be a bit worried about detailing a remote though. Could damage the electronics if, by any chance, some liquid creeps in.

I`ve detailed my 1:18 scale car collection and a few Hot Wheels cars.

I`ve washed, waxed and vacuumed a rental car I had one time when my car was in the shop because it was way too dirty for me to feel comfortable.

I`ve waxed my grandfathers John Deere Lawn tractor out of sheer boredom.
