I’ve been swamped with cars from the dealer this week and my camera got messed up and deleted all the pictures from a black C5 that I slaved over for ~23 hours.
Anyway, here are some pictures of the Red C6 that I took care of yesterday. I really love this car. Out of all the cars I’ve picked up, the vettes’ just hit a soft spot with me. They are just effortless to drive, and the torque is overwhelming and extremely satisfying. I picked it up for a simple 1-step and interior clean up. The dealership specifically requested that I removed the wheels to clean up the wheel wells and inner barrels of the wheels so I did that. Unfortunately I was pressed for time and couldn’t take in process pictures. The vette’ had TONS of deep defects that I simply couldn’t touch with a 1-step. Instead I attacked the dealer buffer trails, holograms, and wash induced marring to get a nice glossy finish.
Wheels/Wheel Wells:
-Megs All Wheel
-Tarminator
-3M Adhesive remover to get the stupid weight glue off of the wheel
-Purple Power(yuck) at 10:1 on the wells
-Various Brushes
-Stoners trim shine
Wash:
-Megs Gold Class shampoo
-Two microfiber mitts
-Two bucket method, grit guard in the rinse bucket
Polish/Wax:
-Megs M205, Orange CCS LC Pad, Rotary @ 1600 rpm
-Megs #7 Glaze, DA, Black CCS finishing pad
-Megs #26 Wax, DA, Black CCS finishing pad
Finsihing/Windows:
-QD Wipe
-Optimum Metal Polish on the exhaust tips with #0000 steel wool, followed up with #26.
-Stoners IG On all windows
-Megs Hot Shine on the tires
Interior:
-Vacuum
-Megs QID on all surfaces
-Leather cleaned with lexol leather cleaner, various brushes and microfibers
-Door jambs hit with ONR at QD strength and microfibers
