I`d like to preserve the finish on my new truck and is is not garaged. I drive it to work daily where it sits in full sun all day. Also tends to be rather dusty, windy and lots of birds. Worse yet it`s black. I have researched covers & how to use them. I know the basic dos and don`ts and plan to strictly abide by them. For now I just plan to use the cover during the dry summer months. What do you think, will the cover do more harm than good?

I am considering the Covercraft Evolution 4. Any advice or opinions would be much appreciated.

If the car is not 100% clean then I think a cover does more bad than good.. And even then the wind can move it so it scratches the paint..

A good sealant does a better job IMHO..

I`ve seen a black Porsche damaged by a car cover moments after I detailed it. So I say, skip the car cover.
