I need some suggestions from those of you with experience. I have a 2003 Mustang GT, and it has fine to moderate swirls, scratches, and oxidation. I would like to know what products to use to remove these imperfections (please be specific). By the way I plan on doing the paint correction with the Griots Garage 6inch polisher. Thanks

Meguiars M105 and M205 is always a good starting place.

I have read many times that M105 and M205 are a great combo but I am worried M105 might be a bit aggressive. I don`t want to do more harm than good. I was sorta thinking maybe Optimum compound II and polish II. Any thoughts on that combination?

that will be your best bet are those two products There are a ton of products that you can use but to make it simple and straight forward those 2 will yield excellent results.

That`s why you do a test spot first ;) The pads you are using will also depend on the amount of cut. Don`t let M105 scare you though, its not as bad as you are thinking.

Depends on the severity of the defects . . . . . you could have to use anything from Purple Foamed Wool to Yellow, Orange or even a Green Pad.

From my experience with ford paints is you will at minimum have to use a Orange Pad as the paints i have done were a little tough. Finish it out with M205 on a White or Black pad.

HD Uno. Try it on a white pad first and see where it gets you. If that`s not generating the results you`re looking for, then switch to an orange pad.
