I have tried to compound it, and than waxed it, and it went back to normal for awhile but than it came back. I do not know what to do to fix it. I need help! Any suggestions on what steps I can take to get it back to black.

That needs repainted. You can probaly bring the paint back a little, but it will instantly fade again. Its damaged to far.

It almost seems like we are missing a couple of chapters in this story...is that when the problem started, when you compounded it a few months ago? Because your spoiler looks great.

I was thinking that it needed to be repainted, just seeing if there was any other options.

No the problem started before I compounded it. My trunk just started to fade slowly and it kept getting worse and worse. I have a feeling that the people that I bought the car from, had the trunk repainted due an accident or something along those lines.

Ok, I guess that`s the missing part of the story--bad repaint.
